If it were just about the numbers, Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens and Manny Ramirez would be a lock to make the Baseball Hall of Fame. But the trio, all linked to performance-enhancing drugs in their careers, will have to wait at least another year to achieve baseball’s highest honor.
Ramirez, who unlike Bonds and Clemens, caught and punished twice by baseball for PED use, received 23.8 percent in his first attempt at the Hall of Fame.
