Son of former Cowboys Pro Bowl lineman Erik Williams charged with murder

Former Cowboys Pro Bowl offensive lineman Erik Williams’ son has been arrested and charged in connection with a pair of killings in suburban Dallas, reported Tuesday.

Cassius Shakembe Williams, 20, and another unidentified man have been arrested and each charged with two counts of capital murder in the shooting deaths of two men June 12 in Mesquite, Texas.

According to online records, Williams was booked into the Dallas County Jail Sunday at 1:47 a.m. His bond was set at $1 million.

The shooting is described as a marijuana deal gone bad with Williams and the other man, a friend, accused of killing two alleged drug dealers.

If convicted, the two could face the death penalty.

The younger Williams, like his father, went to Central State (Ohio) to play football but was listed on the roster only one season, 2015.

After playing on Central State’s NAIA national championship team in 1990, Erik Williams went on to be a four-time Pro Bowl offensive lineman with the Cowboys and was part of two Super Bowl-winning teams in the 1990s in an NFL Cheap Jerseys Ireland career stretching from 1991-2001.

Though he’s from Florida, Shazier has chosen to stay in Pittsburgh in part because it helps him feel like I’m still myself.

T-shirts emblazoned with his familiar No. 50 and the phrase #Shalieve — the hashtag Shazier made famous in the early stages of his recovery — have become fashionable across Pittsburgh with fans and fellow athletes. Several members of the Pittsburgh Pirates have donned the T-shirts after games as tribute.

I’ve met a lot of interesting people, a lot of people I never thought I’d meet, Shazier said.

The Steelers placed him on injured reserve last month, ending any chance of a comeback in 2018. The team also modified his contract so that Cheap Jerseys NBA he would receive the majority of the $8.7 million he is due this year up-front.
